Wyers End

Wyers End is a new “pocket neighborhood” crafted of close-knit homes around common landscaped spaces that create a sense of community.  Wyers End was designed by Ross Chapin, developed by Henry Fischer and Randy Orzek of Smart Development, and built by Skyward Construction in 2008.

There is a cluster of 18 homes in the shade of established oak trees. The seven cottages have off street parking. The eleven bungalows have garages and spaces for guest parking. There is a storage barn and a garden shed.

The neighborhood is three blocks from the center of the City of White Salmon, a small town named by the Lewis and Clark Expedition.  Perched on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River Gorge, views from town to the south include majestic Mount Hood, rolling orchards and wineries, and to the northeast, the snow-capped peak of Mount Adams.

White Salmon’s mild climate and location offer a recreation paradise.  Water enthusiasts can windsurf and kiteboard on the Columbia River or kayak, fish, and raft on the White Salmon or Klickitat Rivers.  For golf enthusiasts there are three public courses nearby.  Hiking, camping, motorcycling and biking opportunities abound in nearby hills and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Mt. Adams.  In the winter cross country ski trails are maintained throughout the national forest, downhill skiers head to nearby Mt. Hood Meadows or Timberline Lodge ski areas.

White Salmon is a small town, but it boasts wine cellars and tasting bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, espresso bars and galleries for local artists to showcase their work White Salmon’s newspaper, The Enterprise, keeps locals apprised of events like art-walks, wine tastings, benefits, and what’s new at the community library, public parks, pool and tennis courts.

The Home Owners Association (HOA) is managed by Gorge Rentals Property Management which includes monitoring dues payments, walking inspections regarding maintenance needs and or notices to residents, grounds maintenance and working with the HOA Board.
